We have three amazing deep dives planned for this workshop weekend. Our deep dives are 90 minutes long, to allow some extra time to explore a topic. Our deep dives are geared towards dancers who are hungry to learn new skills, and will be presented at a convention Novice/Intermediate level (Eugene Intermediate/Advanced).
Sunday 1:00pm. Taught by Andrew Sunada.
High-level dancing is about knowing when to be a partner and when to be an individual. We’ll explore techniques to create a "blank canvas" and find a "void of space" that gets you and your partner on the same page.
Sunday 2:45pm. Taught by Marcus Sterling.
One of the most rewarding and challenging thing about WCS is getting to dance WITH someone. If you have been feeling like social dancing is just executing patterns and moves you've learned in classes, then join me for a deep dive into how to partner with someone instead of just "doing the same things but together." (Hint - It's probably not your fault!)
Sunday 4:00pm. Taught by Marcus Sterling.
One of the biggest critique of WCS is that it often doesn't look or feel like a "swing dance." So let's deep dive into the personal technique you need to keep you swing dancing and not just walking around the floor when you do WCS.
